The Craven Police Charity Fund (CPCF) was formed in 1996, and after very humble beginnings became a registered charity in May 2018, having raised many thousands of pounds for local causes and charity groups.
Over the years the fund has provided support to Skipton-based PETAL Childhood Cancer Research, raising money exclusively for childhood cancer research.
Through the years we expanded our remit, and started fund-raising for other groups, including SELFA (Skipton Extended Learning For All) and Country Trust, who have cooperated in providing weekend breaks at the coast for disadvantaged families in Craven and Bradford. CPCF has provided funding for transport to and from the facility.
Other charities and groups to benefit from support from CPCF include Craven-based Principle Trust who provide respite breaks to local underprivileged and disadvantaged children from North and West Yorkshire, particularly children with life limiting conditions, disabilities, or those facing financial hardship, trauma or stress.
