CPCF Charity quiz night

We would like to thank everyone who turned up at the Three Links club last night for our Craven Police Charity Fund quiz night – it was absolutely heaving and a resounding success!

Special thanks must go to Mick and Sally who were running the bar, and run off their feet too! Nothing was too much trouble for them – they, and Maureen (who was collecting glasses AND taking part in the quiz too) were just amazing.

Extra-special thanks to Rachel who allowed us to use the club for the quiz, and for all of her help up to and during the event.

What an absolutely fantastic venue – we’d never been in before, but we’ll certainly be going back! Apparently there’s an Open Mic night next Wednesday night (I think it starts at 8), but the thing I’m really looking forward to is the Motown and Soul afternoon in a couple of week’s time – Sunday the 24th.

This event was aimed in part at people who are not aware of the work the Craven Police Charity Fund does, and to help publicise our main fund raising event of they year – the annual Quiz Night and Auction at the Rendezvous Hotel on the 20th of March 2020. Several people read our leaflets – and more importantly, several said they would love to come! We’ll have more details nearer the time, but in the meantime pop it in your diary!

A sneaky pic, taken by PC Liz Rutter! James looks like a geriatric Hunchback of Notre Dame!

The CPCF Masterbrain Pub Quiz Challenge

We’re launching the Masterbrain Pub Quiz Challenge to find Skipton and Craven’s brainiest pub quiz team. The quiz will complement Skipton biggest and best charity quiz, the CPCF Charity Quiz and Auction, held next March at the Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton. More details on that to follow, but in the meantime please spread the word about Masterbrain 2019! It’s on the 9th of November at the Three Links Club in Skipton, and will cost just £20 for each team of up to six members. Get in touch to find out more details and how to register your team

Quiz night & auction update

With just a few days to go (it’s this Friday night, 8th March) final preparations are underway for our biggest fundraiser of the year! We’re hoping to have a VERY special young guest of honour this year, but that will depend on circumstances on the night.

Donations of items for auction and raffle have been pouring in, for which we’re very grateful indeed – it only goes to show that you really DO care!

A lot of tables have been prebooked for the event, which will guarantee those teams a great place to join in the proceedings. You don’t NEED to book, just turn up on the night and we’ll fit you in somehow, but if you do want to book your place just get in touch with Chris Rushton at Rendezvous (01756 700100) and he’ll do the rest. Tables will be kept until 7:15pm – after that they’ll become available to all-comers!

We’ve put in place new plans to keep things moving quickly throughout the night, which we’re sure will help to make it a more enjoyable event than ever – we very much look forward to seeing you all there!

Friday night, 8th of March, Rendezvous Hotel, Keighley Road, Skipton BD23 2TA – doors open at 6:30pm for a PROMPT 7:30pm start!!
